Acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills in Image-Guided and Adaptive Radiation Therapy
Dutch | English
During this six-month, state-of-the-art module the participant will acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills in Image-Guided and Adaptive Radiation Therapy (IGART). IGART is an advanced form of radiation therapy, that has become indispensable in the treatment of cancer. With the advent of various imaging technologies, it has become possible not only to visualize the treatment area during treatment, but also to tailor the treatment to the anatomical changes found using this imaging.
This module is designed to provide insight into the possibilities, but also the limitations of various technological applications of IGART, the clinical applications and the current research within this area. As a result, they are able to keep up with the latest developments, to assess their value and to see and create opportunities to apply them in their own practice. This module is therefore very suitable for radiation therapists or other professionals, who are tasked with the introduction and implementation or execution of IGART in their daily work.
Distance online learning, which includes interactive group sessions, is combined with a one-week of intensive face-to-face learning at our campus in Haarlem. The aim is an intensive module with optimum interaction between students and teachers. For this reason, the number of participants is restricted to twelve.
