After completing the post-graduate module Image-Guided and Adaptive Radiation Therapy, you will be able to:

  • analyze and edit multi-planar images produced by applying various equipment in clinical practice
  • critically analyze the IGRT-workflow of your own department and understand the working method
  • critically analyze (online) adaptive workflows of your own department and understand the working method
  • test IGRT and adaptive workflow on evidence-based practice
  • develop or improve an IGRT or adaptive workflow taking into account the risks in this workflow
  • assess and advise on training and education to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to carry out these workflows in an accurate manner (e.g. signing CTV/OAR and plan evaluation)
  • use and analyze (4D) motion management techniques
  • analyze the role and limitations of different imaging techniques
  • critically analyze the influence of these techniques on corrections made taking into account anatomical changes

After successful completion of the module you will receive a certificate of Inholland Academy. This course can be used as an elective module in the masters’ program Medical Imaging Radiation Oncology. The module is accredited by Professional Association ADAP for a score of 280 points.
