There are a couple of things that need to be arranged once you graduate, stop your studies or change to another programme. Check the situations below to see which one applies to you.
Are you graduated or are you about to graduate? Congratulations!
The day on which you successfully participated in the last educational activity or submitted your last work, determines your graduation date.
Graduating in June/July/August
You do not have to request for deregistration if you graduate in June, July or August. Your enrolment will be terminated automatically as of 1 September. You are not entitled to a reimbursement of your paid tuition fee in these months.
Graduating in May or earlier
If you graduate in May or earlier, we recommend terminating your enrolment with effect from the end of the month of graduation. This will enable you to claim a refund of your tuition fee over the
remainder of the academic year, including July and August.
Graduating on or after 1 September
Graduation is only possible when you are officially enrolled. You therefore need to arrange your re-enrolment and tuition fee payment if you graduate in the new academic year,
Student finance and travel card
Keep in mind that you will no longer be entitled to any student finance or student travel card after deregistration. Prevent a fine by cancelling these services in the same month during which your last successful educational activity took place. You can do this on on DUO.nl.
More info?
Consult the (de)registration rules, the Education Guide, DUO.nl or talk to your study counsellor.
It is possible that another study programme, form or location within Inholland caught your eye during the year. In any case, contact the team leader of the new programme or location. He or she must give written permission. The team leader will assess whether you have made a well-considered study choice and whether intake is possible, considering the organisational capabilities and phase of the curriculum.
Of course, you also have to meet the regular admission and enrolment conditions of your new programme. The Central Student Administration assesses this.
Procedure
Within one week after submitting your permission form and - if applicable - other documents for your admissibility, you will hear from the CSA whether your request has been approved and when you are registered for the new programme. This is usually the first day of the month following the month in which the application request was made. You may not join the new programme earlier than that.
Location switch
Do not submit an application via Studielink if you only want to switch to another location. Download the form Permission form location switch fill it in and have it signed by the team leader of the new study programme. Send the completed form to csa@inholland.nl.
Switching as of 1 September
Want to start a different study programme at the beginning of the academic year (1 September)? Do not re-enrol in your current programme, but apply for the new programme.
Tuition fee
Your tuition fees may change, for example when you go from a full-time to a part-time programme. Check which fee applies to you. By signing the permission form, you indicate that you agree with the tuition fees.
If you want to withdraw from your study programme, you can submit a deregistration request in Studielink
Statuary tuition fee
You only pay tuition for the months you are enrolled.
Did you pay all your tuition fees at once? Then you are entitled to a reimbursement of 1/12th of the tuition fees due for each month of the academic year following the termination of your enrolment.
When you pay in instalments, the payment obligation for the remainder of the academic year will be cancelled and any fees paid in excess will be reimbursed.
Institutional tuition fee
Did you pay all your tuition fees at once? Starting from the seventh month after enrolment, you are entitled to a reimbursement of 1/12th of the tuition fees due for each month of the academic year following the termination of your enrolment.
When you pay in instalments, the payment obligation will be cancelled after the seventh month after enrolment. Any fees paid in excess will be reimbursed.
In some exceptional cases, the seventh-month cut-off may be lifted. See article 2.2.18 in the Education Guide.
Student finance and transport card
Keep in mind that you are no longer entitled to student finance or the travel product after deregistration. Stop this in time on DUO.
