BIP Sustainable Banking & Finance

The Erasmus+ BIP "Sustainable Banking & Finance" (SBaF) offers a unique learning experience combining virtual teamwork and an intensive on-site session. Developed by seven European institutions, it deepens students’ understanding of ethical banking and finance. Participants work on international projects, developing analytical skills and cross-cultural communication.

Students join interactive discussions and networking opportunities, boosting their international employability. The programme has continuously evolved to incorporate the latest trends in sustainable finance, ensuring its relevance in today’s financial landscape.

Programme overview

At the start of the programme, students will receive a student manual, covering learning objectives, project stages, schedules, deliverables, and assessment criteria. This manual will guide participants through both the Online Phase and the Physical Programme, detailed below.

Online Phase

Online Phase 

Students work remotely via Microsoft Teams, interacting with international peers and tutors. Activities include an online kick-off, intercultural workshops, and an interactive escape room game. Weekly topic meetings and assignments guide students in writing an international topic paper.

The on-site phase is an immersive five-day event at a partner university, featuring expert-led topic presentations, interactive debates, cultural activities, and guest lectures. Each day is structured around a core theme: Monday focuses on cross-cultural interaction, Tuesday highlights topic presentations, Wednesday fosters critical debates, Thursday explores national perspectives, and Friday encourages personal reflection. This dynamic schedule ensures a well-rounded experience, combining academic enrichment with intercultural learning and professional networking opportunities.

BIP - Sustainable Banking & Finance in  a Nutshell

  • What? This blended-learning programme (online & on-site) 

    focuses on ethical banking and sustainable finance. 

  • For whom? Students in Finance, Economics, and related fields from Inholland University of Applied Sciences and partners. 

  • Where? Each year, the programme is hosted in a different city at one of the partner universities.

  • When? The programme starts with virtual sessions from January to March, followed by a five-day on-site programme in March.

  • Why? Participants earn 3 ECTS credits while gaining valuable intercultural and financial skills.

  • How? Apply at your BIP partner institution before December to secure your spot and to apply for Erasmus+ funding.
