Inholland has a limited amount of furnished rooms available for new first year international students (including students from Surinam and the Caribbean).

Please note: the rooms are allocated on a first come first serve basis, so we recommend you to apply as soon as possible. We can't guarantee a room for every student.

How to apply

How to apply

You can already get a DUWO room while still in the application process for the study programme. However, to receive the keys of your room at the start of the contract, your application for the study programme has to be complete on 1 August 2024 latest. This means that:

  1. Your (foreign) diploma has been validated by the Admissions Office.
  2. Your proof of English proficiency has been checked by the Admissions Office (if applicable).

If your application is not complete by 1 August 2024, we will cancel your rental contract.

In case you decide to withdraw from the study programme before the start of the semester, you will still have to pay the first month rent + administration costs

Soon after the deadline, we will offer you a room if available. You will have 2 days to accept the room. Please notice that this is the only offer that you will receive. If you reject the offer, you will not receive another one. Be prepared to take actions when you receive e-mails and make sure you have the money for the first payment ready.

Leemansplein

Location Leemansplein

These 'rooms' are studio apartments: they include a private bathroom and kitchenette. The size of the studio is approximately 20 m2. Each studio is designed for one student. It is therefore not possible to live together with a friend in one studio.

All the studios are fully furnished and self-contained. A bed linen set, and a basic kitchen inventory package will be waiting for you upon arrival. There’s a common room on the ground floor where students can socialize, and there’s also a laundry equipped with washing machines and driers. You can park your bicycle in the locked bike parking area in the building.

For a list of the inventory, please check the website of DUWO.

Waldorpstraat 47

Location Waldorpstraat

The Waldorpstraat apartment building has 3- and 4-room apartments. These are in general single gender apartments. You will have your own bedroom. The kitchen, bathroom and lavatory are shared with two or three other students. All rooms are furnished. These facilities are included in the rent, as well as a bed linen set, kitchenware, gas, water, electricity, heating and *internet.

For a list of the inventory, please check the website of DUWO

* Please note that the standard internet is available through a LAN cable. If you want to use the LAN connection on your laptop, make sure you bring your own cable. If you prefer wireless Internet, then you should buy a router.

After your first year

After your first year

You can only book a room through Inholland with DUWO for one year maximum. That means that you will have to find your own room after the first year.

You can register for another room via DUWO after your rental period via Inholland has ended. To do so, you have to contact the customer service of ROOM (the DUWO booking platform). You can ask them to change your account into a regular account. With this regular account, you can respond to other ROOM housing offers.

You can already do so when you have a signed rental agreement. This way you are registered for the waiting list as early as possible. The longer you have been registered, the bigger the chance of finding a room.

Please note that in this case, Inholland no longer mediates between you and DUWO, and you have to apply directly on the ROOM website.
