2018 National Student Survey results TBA soon

Like many of your fellow students, you probably completed the 2018 National Student Survey  back between January and March. Due to the tighter privacy legislation that came into effect on 25 May, it is taking slightly longer than usual to release the results. We now expect the survey results to be announced in late June.

In the National Student Survey you were asked to rate your degree programme, enabling comparison with similar programmes at other universities of applied sciences. The results are also used to continue making improvements to our own programmes.

To comply with the new privacy law, the Studiekeuze123 foundation, which administers the National Student Survey, has taken measures affecting how it processes survey data. Under the heightened requirements, for example, data may no longer be traceable to individuals. This new legislation also applies to Inholland.

In follow-up to the measures taken, the Dutch universities of applied sciences reached agreements with Studiekeuze123 to ensure the representativeness and quality of the survey results. Studiekeuze123 is therefore recomputing the data, requiring some additional time, and has postponed the release of the results until the end of June.

In a response, Inholland Executive Board President Jet de Ranitz emphasised that 'We believe it's very important to know what our students think of us. If that means everything needs to be checked through again, that's simply what has to be done, and we will have to wait for the survey results a little longer.'
