Have you always wanted to know how an aircraft flies? Do you want to know what the best materials are to create an airplane wing? What is the best design in relation to its function? Are you curious about how to calculate all this? During the Taster Session of Aeronautical Engineering, you will get acquainted with a few subjects of the wonderful and innovative world of Aeronautical Engineering. You will follow two, according to students, relatively difficult classes and a workshop.

During the Taster Session of Aeronautical Engineering, you will get acquainted with a few subjects of the wonderful and innovative world of Aeronautical Engineering. You will follow two, according to out students, relatively difficult classes and a workshop. Use this experience to discover if you have the ability to become a future innovative aeronautical engineer.
|13.00 – 13.30 hrs||Welcome and introduction on the structure of the Aeronautical Engineering programme. We will explain what you'll learn and experience during your years of study and what we will expect from you.|
|13.30 – 13.45 hrs||Taster class on Mechanics (statics) by lecturer Jan Vriend.|
|13.45 – 14.15 hrs||General instruction by our current students. This is your chance to ask them questions about their experience with the programme and life in Delft.|
|14.15 – 14.30 hrs||Taster class on Aircraft Performance.|
|14.30 – 15.00 hrs||Short break|
|15.00 – 15.15 hrs||A moment to chat with our current students.|
|15.15 – 17.00 hrs||Workshop Crazy Glider: build your own aircraft. We'll compete to see which of your self-built aircraft can fly the highest and which one can stay in the air the longest.|
We only have room for 50 participants per Taster Session, so register as soon as possible!
