Since 2018, proton therapy (PT) has rapidly advanced in the Netherlands and other countries, but there is still a shortage of skilled professionals like RTTs, dosimetrists, and medical physicists/physicians. In collaboration with HollandPTC, Inholland University developed three master modules: Proton Fundamentals, Basic PT Treatment Planning, and Advanced PT Treatment Planning*. These courses use a blended learning approach, focusing on remote use of RayStation for PT treatment planning. The modules combine asynchronous and synchronous activities, creating flexible "blended learning waves." Students gain hands-on experience in RayStation, progressing from basic principles to advanced dose adaptation, allowing them to practice critical reasoning and planning remotely. Details on this approach will be shared at the user meeting.
